Information for Broadcast - Bolshoi Theatre: The Lady of the Camellias at Civic Theatre, Chelmsford (Broadcast). Broadcasts directly from the National Theatre, Royal Opera House and other famous theatres around the world onto a big screen. Broadcasts may be of live performances or "Encore" screenings of previous famous productions recorded "as live".
We are currently showing screenings of most NT productions plus most screenings at Cineworld cinemas and theatres for which we cover other live performance listings. The Bolshoi breathes new life into John Neumeier's tragic masterpiece, inspired by Alexandre Dumas' novel and accompanied by Chopin's exquisite score. A young bourgeois, Armand Duval, falls madly in love with Marguerite Gautier, a courtesan celebrated by Parisian high society. Despite her infidelity, Armand will do all he can to win her heart.
