Synopsis/Cast/Company

Information for The Contrabandista at Playhouse Theatre, Cheltenham (Musical). Who will win the battle for supremacy among the brigands, to gain the hand of Inez, the glamorous Robber Queen? Will their hostage Rita be rescued before her pips are squeezed? Does the band really wish to be captained by a Scottish tourist? Who is the mysterious shepherd, and why is he wearing a false beard? Arthur Sullivan's first full-length theatre score was composed in 1867, before the Gilbert and Sullivan operas were conceived.
