Information for Merge Arts Festival at Hull New Theatre, Hull (Festival). Humberside Folk Songs. Merge 2012 arts festival - a celebration of Hull's heritage - promises a not-to-be-missed choral night in the beautiful venue of City Hall. Having been inspired by the Hull History Centre archives, the evening's entertainment of Humberside folk songs entreats the audience to a trip down memory lane. Continuing the night with Beethoven's Ninth Symphony in the second half of the performance is a stunning 200 strong orchestra and choir, comprised of talented musicians and singers from Hull and the surrounding area. Encompassing brotherly love and harmony in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, the group showcase their talents creating a merging of communities. City Hall
