1914 "Tactical retreat sir - the lads will soon have the Hun on the run again mark my words - said it'd all be over by Christmas, but they need reinforcements, there's already talk of a big recruitment drive", In the heady atmosphere of the crowded drill hall, five young innocent lads find the recruiting soldiers words inspiring. As hands quickly raise, Bill Gibson, the youngest of the group is not so sure, but urged on by his friends he reluctantly volunteers. As they reach that far and foreign land nothing could prepare them for the horrors they would face. Soon innocence has gone, death is around them and all but one pays the ultimate price.
