War Horse
Find the best War Horse play tickets at New London Theatre, West End. When World War is declared in 1914, Joey, young Albert's beloved horse, is sold to the cavalry against his will and shipped, along with thousands of others, to France. "I want you to do yourself proud, Joey. You go and drive those Germans back where they've come from, and then come home to me". Joey is soon caught up in enemy fire and finds himself serving on both sides before ending up in no man's land. Albert cannot forget Joey and so, although still not old enough to enlist, he joins up to try and find him and bring him home.

The National Theatre's production is based on the novel by the Michael Morpurgo (Children's Laureate 2003-05) and had to be found a long term home after each short run simply sold out! Actors bring the animals to life using puppets from the renowned Handspring Puppet Company - see how they work.

Winner of Five Tony Awards (2011). Suitable for 10yrs+ Running time 2 hours 25 minutes including interval.
