Just Another Sami
T01375145920
Gamvik, an old Sami fishing village far out on the North coast of Norway. Here the indigenous Sami people lived for thousands of years, herding reindeer, wearing their koftas, speaking their language, singing their yoiks. Today, all of that has gone. In fact, many Sami don't even know that they are Sami at all...Join Hakon Mathias Vassvik and his haunting band, Torgeir Vassvik and Kari Ronnekleiv, as they reconnect with the indigenous culture of the Arctic. Performed in English.
