The acclaimed Canadian pianist opens this year's International Piano Series. Alongside some of Scarlatti's intricately written and high-spirited keyboard works, Hewitt offers two pieces that describe parting and reunion: Bach's lively Capriccio on the Departure of his Beloved Brother and Beethoven's Sonata Les Adieux.
