The Ingrid Bergman Tribute
T77313733
Isabella Rossellini and Jeremy Irons pay tribute to one of the 20th century's greatest actresses. Their theatrical performance interweaves memories, interviews and letters with home movies and footage from throughout Ingrid Bergman's life and career. Bergman was a true Hollywood great. The winner of three Academy Awards, she was most famous for starring alongside Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca. Meanwhile, her relationship with Roberto Rossellini is one of the best-known love stories in film history. In celebration of the centenary of her birth, her daughter Isabella Rossellini and actor Jeremy Irons (Brideshead Revisted, The Borgias) reveal never-before-seen footage of Bergman, to portray the woman behind the icon. This evening marks Rossellini's return to Southbank Centre, following her sold-out performance of Green Porno in 2014. Created and written by Ludovica Damiani and Guido Torlonia in collaboration with Isabella Rossellini, and directed by Guido Torlonia with the support of Festival de Cannes and The Kobal Collection.
