Calling Tree

Over three days, as day turns to dusk, Calling Tree, will echo out into the city from the Plane trees of St George's Gardens in the heart of Bloomsbury. Performers will appear and disappear amongst the autumnal canopy, and school children, singers and dancers will momentarily flock and gather beneath the boughs. Unfolding over the course of each afternoon, the performance will be the culmination of a two week residency in the garden, when the artists will meet local community and reflect upon and respond to this atmospheric and hidden haven. As the trees resonate with bird sound, song, calls and movement, passers-by and visitors will be invited to stop, listen and look up.
