Production details

The Vivace Chorus, one of the leading choirs in the South of England, makes a welcome return to the Royal Albert Hall, once again joining forces with the world-renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The choir's first performance at the Hall was in May 2011 when conductor Jeremy Backhouse inspired over 500 performers in a memorable performance of Mahler's 8th Symphony, which was enthusiastically received by a capacity audience. This time the massed forces will give a performance of the powerful and moving Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi, perhaps one of the most loved pieces in the entire choral repertoire. With a starry line-up of soloists, all the ingredients are in place for another memorable and thrilling evening's music.
