Synopsis/Company

Britain's biggest and most exciting touring dance company who often tour two programmes at a time. Dancing to a mixture of musical styles they provide enormously watchable evenings. In 2012 Mark Baldwin celebrates 10 years at the helm of Rambert, the national company for contemporary dance, and returns to present the Labyrinth of Love Tour. Powerful, heartbreaking and humorous, Marguerite Donlon's brand new work of the same name reveals the joy and pain of love in all its glory. Rambert's breathtaking world class dancers also present Merce Cunningham's exuberant 1975 work Sounddance, paired with the sharp and witty Dutiful Ducks by Richard Alston. Completing the programme is the brutal and seductive Elysian Fields by groundbreaking choreographer Javier De Frutos, inspired by Tennessee Williams and A Streetcar Named Desire.
