And this is our Rama, as created by comic book artist Jim Connolly. Jim and I spent an afternoon at the Comics Unmasked exhibition at the British Library in search of inspiration for our cast of characters, and here's what he came up with. Our hero is a true-blue equivalent of Daljit's verbal version of Rama, and we've given him a 1970s colour palette and an old-style low-fi resolution as a nod to Daljit's boyhood memories of experiencing the tale for the first time. Demons, monkeys, characters and calligraphy - they'll all be projected round Daljit as he performs. You'll want to see that, right?
