At the outbreak of World War one, Joey, young Albert's beloved horse, is sold to the cavalry and shipped to France. he's soon caught up in enemy fire, and fate takes him on an extraordinary odyssey, serving on both sides before finding himself alone in no man's land. but Albert cannot forget Joey and, still not old enough to enlist, he embarks on a treacherous mission to find him and bring him home. The whole cast gave a professional and memorable performance and you are soon mesmerised by the story. The plight of thousands of WWI horses was brought home and tears were shed in our group and not just by the females! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend War Horse; you'll still be talking about it weeks after you've seen it - fantastic.

It is a beautifully told story and the cast were excellent. A poignant story but with moments of humour and some wonderful singing by Bob Fox , the song man. All in all, a great night out, Highly recommended.
