Set in the bar of The North Briton pub in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, ?When The Eye Has Gone ?tells the all too brief life of Colin 'Ollie' Milburn ? the cricketing legend who was one of England's most unlikely sporting heroes. The action takes place on the 28th February 1990 during Milburn's cabaret performance as "Jolly Ollie", the character he had developed to conceal his insecurities and suffering.
