Synopsis/Cast/Company

Information for Behind Closed Doors at Theatre Royal and Opera House, Wakefield (Play). he engagement of two university students brings together their dysfunctional families. Sandra from Doncaster and Tarquin from Chertsey are sociologically distant but share a common problem; their fathers are bullies from whom their mothers seek refuge, one in vodka and the other in a make-believe gentleman friend. They play explores the different social attitudes to domestic violence, with comedy and tragedy in equal measure.
