Synopsis/Cast/Company

Information for Equally Divided at Watford Palace Theatre, Watford (Play). The story of two sisters, both in their fifties, and their intense and passionate reactions to their mother's last will and testament. Edith, severe, embattled, unmarried, has sacrificed her life in order to nurse the bed-ridden old woman. Renata, glamorous but unstable, has been married several times and is apparently well-off. When the contents of the will are made known childhood rivalries re-emerge. Edith wants justice which means that decency and compromise take a back seat. Add to this an indecisive lawyer and an ambiguous antique dealer, and the result is a moral tale both comic and poignant.
