War Horse

War HorseT01581919499
I want you to do yourself proud, Joey. You go and drive those Germans back where they've come from, and then come home to me. At the outbreak of World War one, Joey, young Albert's beloved horse, is sold to the cavalry and shipped to France. he's soon caught up in enemy fire, and fate takes him on an extraordinary odyssey, serving on both sides before finding himself alone in no man's land. but Albert cannot forget Joey and, still not old enough to enlist, he embarks on a treacherous mission to find him and bring him home. Do I look like I know the latest on every effing ?orse in the war? Do I look like an effing equine expert or even an effing equestrian enthusiast? Your squadron no longer exists. That's all I know, Private. Suitable for 12yrs+

Overall: 3.40
Barbara Baker (30Sep14): OMG how amazing was this performance. I wanted to see it all again but am taking all the family to see it again. Awe inspiring!!! Thank you.
Staffordians (24Aug14): A beautiful production from beginning to end. The skill of the puppeteers is remarkable. The whole cast gave a professional and memorable performance and you are soon mesmerised by the story. The plight of thousands of WWI horses was brought home and tears were shed in our group and not just by the females! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend War Horse; you'll still be talking about it weeks after you've seen it - fantastic.
Billy and Dawn (20Feb14): From start to finish, the skill of the puppeteers working these horses, draws you into the story and you soon start to forget that there are actually people inside these horses. It is a beautifully told story and the cast were excellent. A poignant story but with moments of humour and some wonderful singing by Bob Fox , the song man. All in all, a great night out, Highly recommended.
