A Doll's House

A Doll's HouseT0526812226
First performed in Copenhagen in 1879. Christmas Eve. Excitement and love filled the Helmer's apartment. Nora is her husband's cherished 'songbird' and the romance of their marriage has been played out over the years. But beneath the carefree surface of their lives, the secret of how Nora saved her husband's life begins to emerge. Tension increases as the characters react against one another and this taut and gripping drama ends as Nora demands her right to individual freedom. One of the great landmark plays of the nineteenth century.
Author Henrik Ibsen

User Reviews

Luke (06Jul12): Music
Paul f (30Jun12): One of the worst plays I have ever seen. The cast are badly cast, with much wooden, unemotional acting on display. Dr rank is so miscast that his scenes with Nora are uninvolving and simply tedious. Nora and Thorvald try hard but by the end, they lose the fight . Matching the play, the audience were pretty bad too with a great deal of phone action - one woman actually texting with another with a buzzing phone actually causing the speakers to feedback .
