Jose Carreras has made over 160 recordings, including 50 complete operas, and has sold over 75 million records. He has performed in every major opera house in the world, and has been awarded doctorates from 16 universities for his services to music. Following the enormous success of his 2008 Gala Concert at the Hall, José Carreras returns for a new evening in aid of the José Carreras International Leukaemia Foundation and Asthma UK, once again sponsored by The Hottinger Group. This year's Gala will be a celebration of young talent. The first half of the evening will be a semi-staged performance of the Party Scene from Die Fledermaus featuring Diva Opera and young stars from the Solti-Te Kanawa Academia with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by maestro David Giménez.
