John Paul Evans presents his disturbing portraits of 'action men', the male dolls for boys, larger than life, and at the time, life sized as they are shown enlarged to the size of an adult human head. Taking these mass-produced identical plastic items he has transformed them so that, uncannily, they appear to have personalities.
