In the foyer space at Sadler's Wells Batchelor constructs a tower of brilliantly coloured light. Standing nearly nine metres in height, and viewable from the three levels of the theatre foyer, the installation responds to the architectural dynamics of the space and to the experience of art in a theatre environment. With similar themes in mind Batchelor has also transformed a utilitarian behind-the-stage 'Quick Change Room' into a vibrantly visual reception room for wedding ceremonies and other events.
