An international array of stars appear in this Royal Opera House production of Johann Strauss's Viennese romp. Dame Kiri Te Kanawa is joined by a range of surprise celebrities including Anthony Dowell, and Hinge and Brackett, while Placido Domingo conducts (although he cannot resist letting rip with the odd note or two). The champagne corks pop and the music fizzes in this hugely enjoyable staging.
