Comedy and Spoken Word: Don't Feed the Poets!

T0
Comedy Cafe meets Philip Larkin in the Trinity Cafe and Bar. Be one of the first to see this new spoken word and cabaret night - a phantasmagoria of poetry and music, with a twist of anarchy and burlesque. Featuring Matt Harvey, star of Radio 4's One Night Stanza and one of the warmest and wittiest poets performing today. No topic is taboo as Matt rubs audiences up the right way with poems and patter about religious conversions, lucid dreams and classified ads.with additional word wizardry from The Speechpainte. Also introducing the hilarious songs of Phil Jeays, a Jacques Brel for the 21st Century and the fabulous Butcher Boys, all compared by the spirited Mr Justin Rhyme. You'll get your chance to amuse and frighten us all in the open-mike section - bookings on the night for up to six performers.
