6 & half flyers, a storm and a chameleon flying rig which seems to have a mind of its own: the performance is set in a storybook cityscape of once-grand structures ticking away in perpetual turmoil. We follow the antics of the characters grappling with their distinctive obsessions and desires. Devised and directed by Firenza Guidi and boasting a lavish original soundtrack and fragmentary dialogue in several languages, Canto fuses highly skilled circus with physical and image theatre to create a world which is both urban and rural, old and contemporary: a funny, nostalgic, moving and altogether breathtaking experience.
