This is no ordinary circus company. Members of the Roundhouse Circus Company are all aged 16-25 and have a passion for acrobatics, parkour, freerunning, break dancing and martial arts. Their first show is based on the tragic story of Narcissus in Ovid's Metamorphoses. The city of Cali, a place of joy and violence, provides the source for Circolombia’s freestyle portrait of a society where dance and music are the safety valves of everyday life. The exuberant young artists marry volcanic energy with a contemporary urban aesthetic to produce a flamboyant display of awe-inspiring acrobatics and dance.
