Lifted - T0251186831

Lifted is a collection of funny, poetic and surprising moments, which explore in different ways what it means when one body is carried by another. Or when one person carries two people. Or when a person doesn't want to be carried. Or when three people find the perfect balance. Teaming up with three guest choreographers - Yi-Chun Liu from Peeping Tom, HURyCAN and Gary Clarke - this captivating performance experiments with new approaches to Mimbre's trademark acrobatics. Lifted mixes dance, theatre and circus to celebrate the expressions and impressions that appear when three strong women move, lift and balance each other.Choreographer Yi-Chun Liu. Choreographer HURyCAN. Choreographer Gary Clarke.

The Exploded Circus - T0409806344

World Premiere. A visually stunning performance from all-female troupe Mimbre. The show starts as an explosion has been caught frozen in time, with the remnants of the circus ring left hanging in the air - suspended above the ground in a fleeting moment. It is in this world that six circus performers use acrobatics, aerial work, juggling and other specialist skills to weave a physical, highly visual story told without words. A story of finding your own order in chaos, creating a new normal and exploring the rebuilding of society. An amazing introduction to contemporary circus.

A Room of Her Own - T01208891826

A Room of Her Own is a mesmerising digital installation piece set within a temporary cubic structure. Featuring acrobatics from international circus and street theatre company Mimbre, the installation plays with the ephemeral nature of inspiration in the moments before it is captured in words - a contented world of creativity, where solace is found in the company of ideas. Inspired by poets and writers across the ages, the piece is also a comment on the persistent lack and recognition of female writers, particularly in theatre. Developed with the aid of a creative residency at La Breche, P?le National des Arts du Cirque, France and 101 Creation Space, Newbury. The PASS Circus Channel project has been selected within the scope of the INTERREG IV A France (Channel) - England cross-border European cooperation programme, co-financed by the ERDF.
