Stand-Up for local charity
Charity Chuckle is the South-east's first, only and best regular comedy fundraiser. Run on a not-for-profit basis by Kerry Herbert and Jim Holland, they have once a month for the last three years showcased the best in new stand-up and offered a bit of a jolly to charities, as well as raising desperately needed funds. In 2011 alone, Charity Chuckle raised over £3,500 for local charities. But they are lazy smokers so no-one nominated them to carry the torch. Charity: Alala - All for Love and Love for All, raising money for orphans of natural disasters. Alala has a charity shop at 39 Baker Street, Brighton, BN1 4JN and it also runs creative therapeutic workshops. They will provide financial support for sustainable housing, caring and skills through ethical means. www.alala.org.uk/ This event takes place at Latest MusicBar, Brighton, BN2 1TF. Tel: 01273 687171
