Gareth Richards’ engaging observational comedy, inspired one-liners and mischievously funny songs have made him an instant hit on the comedy circuit. Gareth’s first solo stand-up show, Stand Up Between Songs, was nominated for a Fosters’ Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer and he can be heard every Saturday morning on Frank Skinner’s Sony-nominated Absolute Radio Show. Performing stand-up between some poignant and genre-defying songs, the Chortle Awards Best Newcomer nominee interweaves the two strands of his comedy. Can you skilfully interweave two strands? We’ll see. Accompaniment will be provided by GARETH on The Incredible Omnichord - a strange and beautiful instrument which he rescued from the 1980s.
