Hilarity Bites Comedy Club comes to Darlington Arts Centre starting on Saturday 7 May at 8pm, with a competition which aims to unearth the next generation of stand-ups. 48 of the best new comedians in the country will compete over four heats to stake their claim for a place in the final on Thursday 21 July, with the winner being named the Hilarity Bites New Act of 2011, as well as receiving a cash prize and a guarantee of further stage time in their bid to make it as a full-time comedian.
