With Gareth Richards. Stand Up Between Songs
Joe Wilkinson - Joe Wilkinson is an award winning stand up and star of BBC Three’s new, hit sitcom Him and Her, where he steals the show as Dan, everyone’s favourite loveable, but creepy neighbour. Since embarking on his stand-up career in 2004, Joe has performed in comedy clubs up and down the country and has earned critical acclaim. He has supported Stephen Merchant and Russell Howard. He has also recently appeared on Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Russell Howard’s Good News. In 2008 Joe took his own sketch show up to the Festival entitled Two Episodes of Mash Presents Joe Wilkinson and Diane Morgan. The pair gained great critical acclaim and a four star review from the Sunday Times, their skits described as blending ‘the absurd and the sharply real with effortless ease, not dropping the energy or the gag rate for a moment’ The pair have returned to Edinburgh in 2009 and 2010 to great acclaim and have recorded their own radio pilot for Radio 2. Gareth Richards - Stand Up Between Songs Gareth Richards, co-host on Frank Skinner’s Absolute Radio Show and star of the Comedy Zone in 2009, brings his debut solo show to Buxton. Performing stand-up between some funny, poignant and genre-defying songs, his set list will include such future smash-hits as the enigmatic Dave the Fridge, and the revolutionary Third World Girl. He will provide his own accompaniment on The Incredible Omnichord; an instrument he has rescued from the 1980s. Gareth will be standing-up between songs but you don’t have to. May contain strong language & adult material.
