Production details

Edinburgh is all about taking risks, and Gore and Dickens have the talent to make their show a real risk worth taking. You won’t have heard of them, but you’ll be boasting you saw this award-winning pair before anyone else. Talented newcomers Sam Gore and Max Dickins share an hour in a stand-up double header not for the faint-hearted. Sam Gore - Sam may have only reached the tender age of 23, but there’s nothing soft about this type of comedy. Fast cementing himself as one of the sharpest and most vicious young acts on the circuit, he’s already snapping at the heels of his more established peers. Come see for yourself - this boy’s got bite. Sam is a bit of a neophyte to stand up with only 2 years under his belt, but in that time he has attracted more than a little attention, not least with him cleaning up and winning almost every new act competition in the country. "a class act indeed." - Chortle Sam appeared last year at the Edinburgh Fringe festival as the special guest English comic in "Best of Scottish" at the Underbelly and in the Laughing Horse’s Showcase as part of the Free Festival. Max Dickens - Despite less than 18 months experience, Dickins has already become an accomplished and interesting stand up. Straddling the line between smug and charming, with a knowing nod and enviable confidence, he blends dark one-liners with offbeat observations. The sheer quality of Max's jokes win over even the most reluctant of audience members. Chortle Student Comedian of the Year finalist 2009. Tickled Pig New Act of the Year 2009 Winner.
