Scott Capurro - Scott Capurro Goes Deeper archiveSan Franciscan comic and author of 'Fowl Play'. Scott has become one of the most popular faces in the UK comedy circuit. At the 1994 Edinburgh Festival he won both the Perrier Best Newcomer Award for his show Risk-Gay and the Spirit of the Fringe Award. Scott Capurro's Love and Affection Tour, his 1995 Edinburgh show was then nominated for the Perrier Award. 1995 also saw Scott make his debut in Australia, appearing at both the Sydney Mardi Gras and the Melbourne Comedy Festival. In 1997 he completed a nationwide tour, including a run at London's Freedom Cafe and performed at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. In 1998 Scott brought his one man black comedy Brain Souffl? to the Fringe. He made a welcome return to the Edinburgh Festival in 1999 with his sell out show Fowl Play, and his first novel of the same name was published in September 2000. He is dangerous, camp and uncompromising, not for the faint hearted: Leave it to comic Scott Capurro to ask the tough questions that the Labour Party wants us to ignore. The questions everyone ponders but never brings up, not even at drunken dinner parties, and especially not on comedy stages. Until now. Scott Capurro - Scott Capurro Goes Deeper website.
