The SOAS Rebetiko Band is known for thought-provoking concerts and great parties. A 10-year programme of work, researching and performing the song traditions of Greece and Turkey, and more recently Kurdistan. Suddenly we find ourselves in one of those star-blessed moments where we have three wonderful women singers in the band - Vicky Anastasiou, Olcay Bayir and Suna - all strong and experienced performers in their own fields, and creating a unique song experience when they perform together.
