Shappi has made her name as an Iranian born comedian, raised in the UK, giving her a unique perspective on politics, multiculturalism and being a woman growing up in modern Britain. She was nominated in 2007 as Best Breakthrough Act (Chortle Awards) and has continued her meteoric rise, appearing at festivals, on TV and radio with her sharp, satirical views on everything from religion and the Islamic revolution to racism, her schooling in London and motherhood.
