A beloved icon of Berlin's demi-monde Alexander Geist is the velvet voice of a morose-disco soul, part Evelyn Waugh hero, part silver screen star. Embracing the dry wit of Morrissey and the synth soundscape of Moroder, he was born for the spotlight. Magnetic, lush, wry, his melodramatic lyrics and insistent melodies, have earned him fans worldwide. For this performance of SPECULATIVE , he will recreate his own legendary final concert. Gesture for gesture, word for word, this is a re-staging of a performance from a speculative future, given by a fictitious alter-ego, a reconstuction of a gig which has not yet taken place. Fusing classic-synth pop references with fan adulation, projection and live performance, SPECULATIVE is a video concert completed by a documentary screening.
