Alicesongs, an adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice Through the Looking Glass for narrator and Javanese gamelan, is a large-scale composition inspired by the storytelling traditions of central Indian. Using a video and multiple narrator/performers fused with the unique sound world of gamelan, Alicesongs promises to be a highly visual, enchanting musical evening.
