The word Asima means 'without boundary' in Sanskrit. Inspired by this idea, composer, Devissaro has written music for this male vocal ensemble from South India which uses ancient Sanskrit texts as the basis for musical ideas which combine simple recitation of Vedic chants and more modern pop idioms to create a wonderfully fresh and modern expression of these ancient texts.
