Alsop on Bernstein and Mahler

Marin Alsop conducts Gustav Mahler's great Resurrection Symphony in homage to Mahler's profound influence on Leonard Bernstein. Bernstein conducted the first complete cycle of Mahler's symphonies starting in 1960 and was an acknowledged devotee and expert of all his works. This performance brings together a large force of choirs for this celebratory event.
