The Brandenburg Concertos are so wildly diverse in sound and instrumentation that each piece can be considered as an individual little masterpiece. To hear the concertos together is a rare and wonderful treat, for as a whole the collection explodes in a feast of baroque colour that defines Bach's mastery of the chamber ensemble.
