To mark the 90th anniversary of the poet’s birth and the 40th anniversary of his death, Paul Celan's work has been set by composer Michael Nyman. Nyman's band plays a suite of songs based on Celan's minimalist and exacting poetry in an evening including extracts of Michael Nyman's films about Auschwitz set to a live score and readings of his poetry by a range of writers and actors who have been inspired by his work.
