Charles Hazlewood, a man determined to 'give young people from all backgrounds the possibility of experiencing classical music', returns to Southbank Centre to get under the surface of an iconic and familiar piece. As part of Imagine, the Southwark Youth Orchestra and the David Idowu Choir will join forces with the Philharmonia Orchestra to bring Dvor?k's Symphony No. 9 (From The New World) to life. Together they explore the thrill of new and exciting places as well as how it feels to leave home behind. This concert is the successful culmination of a whole half-term week of workshops and rehearsals led by Charles Hazlewood with secondary school musicians involved in Southwark Music Service Royal Festival Hall - Imagine Children?s Festival
