This concert is a fundraiser for Nightingale House, the local hospice, arranged by the Rhos Committee. The evening promises to be an eclectic mix of Welsh cultural talent. Trio are made up of 3 outstanding Welsh singers - Bedwyr Parri, Emyr Wyn Gibson and Steffan Owen- and are accompanied by renowned Welsh pianist Annette Bryn Parri.Having been keen Eisteddfod competitors and concert artistes, they first got together as a group in December 2012. Their extensive repertoire includes folk, classical, songs from the musicals and popular Welsh songs. Soprano Deborah Parry Edwards was born in Wrexham, and studied at Royal College of Music. Her career has taken her to various countries, appearing with internationally renowned conductors such as Sir Charles Groves. Also appearing will be 2 local choirs from the village of Rhosllannerchrugog - Cor Orffiws y Rhos, a male voice choir - which has been in existence since 1957, specifically to compete in Llangollen Eisteddfod .Since then they have performed throughout the UK, and have travelled extensively in Europe, the USA & Canada. Also visited China, Hong Kong & Israel.
