The Czech National Symphony Orchestra return to the City Hall under the distinguished Czech conductor Petr Altrichter, who is well known to British audiences after his long and successful music directorship of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra will be joined by the charismatic young British violinist Charlie Siem who will perform Dvoraks brilliant Violin Concerto. In the second half of the concert the orchestra will play one of the most popular symphonies ever composed, Dvoraks much-loved Symphony No.9, which he composed in the USA when he was working as a professor of music at the New York Conservatory.
