Dame Kiri Te Kanawa is unarguably one of the world's greatest operatic stars. Ever since her sensational debut at the Royal Opera House in 1971, she has been in demand all over the world. Known for her glorious voice and lustrous tone, she is particularly loved for her interpretations of the operas of Mozart and Richard Strauss, but also her evident enjoyment when performing Gershwin and Cole Porter, as well as songs from her Maori heritage.
