EYO is delighted to welcome as soloist, Daniel Bell, a former violinist in the orchestra and now a member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Conductor Garry Walker, a former EYO cellist, will lead the players through an exciting programme of Russian masterworks as well as the magnificent Beethoven Violin Concerto.

To celebrate its 40th birthday the EYO presents this Gala Concert with three new works featuring two international soloists. Edinburgh by Tommy Smith has a part for organ which will be played by Tom Wilkinson as part of the re-inauguration of the Usher Hall organ. The Orchestra now embarks with these works on a major tour to Finland, Latvia, Estonia and Russia.
