Hot stuff: back in the 18th century, Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks was the equivalent of a stadium spectacular. It's the grandest possible centrepiece for this evening of musical pyrotechnics with our Symphonic Brass and Percussion: expect music from Shostakovich to the Beatles, plus ? to light the blue touchpaper - a dazzling new Fireworks Fanfare by Royal Welsh graduate, Daniel Soley. Sparks in the Park Fireworks display in Bute Park is organised by the Cardiff Round Table Charity which distributes funds to a number of good causes. Fundraisers from the charity will be on-site at the College to collect donations and we would urge our patrons to give what they can to support the charities and to ensure Cardiff's spectacular annual Firework display continues to be enjoyed by all.
