Performing Strauss stunningly vivid tone poem, ?Don Juan A performance of Bruch s ?Violin Concerto No.1 in G minor will follow, along with Humperdinck s overture to ?Hansel and Gretel and Mendelssohn s ?Symphony No.5 in D minor. The Halle is Britain's longest-established permanent professional symphony orchestra and was founded in Manchester by Sir Charles Halle in 1858. The orchestra has been performing classical music in Manchester, around Britain and abroad for more than 150 years.
