'Japanorama' brings together the cream of Japan's new music scene in a spell-binding, dynamic showcase of avant-rock, improvisation, folk music, song and the aesthetic of noise. Ground-breaking performers from the farthest extremes of Japan's underground combine to produce music that is at turns violent, deeply moving, spiritual and funny. The dozen performers will play in ensemble, small group and solo sequences, showcasing the extraordinary range and quality of Japan's new music scene and , with its mixture of high-tech and the traditional forge common ground between players from disparate backgrounds.
