The Dying Swan
The Dying Swan is a silent film with a fabulous new score by Joby Talbot. The film, made in 1916 by Russian pioneer Evgenii Bauer, centres on an artist's strivings to depict death. It highlights with chilling effect his preoccupation with doomed love and death as well as his creative use of light. The newly composed soundtrack by Joby Talbot will be performed live by the composer and his band (piano, violin, cello and vibes) as the film is screened.
