John Tams is a multi-talented musician, songwriter, actor and producer, perhaps most widely known as Rifleman Daniel Hagman in the Sharpe television series, for which he also provided the theme music. From a cappella trio Coope, Boyes and Simpson, Barry Coope’s keyboard and vocal skills make him a perfect musical partner for Tams, a pairing that was acknowledged when they won the Best Duo at the BBC Folk Awards in 2008 - with the trophy presented by Sharpe himself, Sean Bean.
